John Wall Throws Punch At Zydrunas Ilgauskas During Wizards/Heat Game

Washington Wizard's rookie sensation John Wall was ejected from tonight's game against the Miami Heat for throwing a punch at 15-year NBA vet Big Z.
A skirmish ensued that led to Wall, Ilgauskas, and Juwan Howard (Heat) all being ejected from the game.

Washington Wizards Vs. Utah Jazz 3/28/11 (Highlights)

It sure doesn't seem like the Utah Jazz are enjoying their growing pains as they adjust to life without Jerry Sloan and Deron Williams.
The Jazz once again managed to lose, this time in overtime 100-95 to the Washington Wizards.
And to make matters worse for Utah, and slightly more embarrassing, is the fact that the loss came on their own floor.
The Wizards were previously 1-35 on the road before tonight.
Washington's only other road victory came over the Cleveland Cavaliers, and we all know how well they are doing this season.
It looks like Utah is going to finish off their slow-crawling fade from the playoff picture once and for all unless they can miraculously find a way to win the rest of their games this season.
I think that's about as likely as the Wizards going undefeated on the road next season.

A Look Back: Mo Pete's Amazing Shot Against The Wizards

While looking up crazy and difficult shots on Youtube, I remembered Morris Peterson's amazing shot against the Wizards.
With the Wizards up 109-106, Anthony Parker threw the ball as far as he could, but was deflected by Michael Ruffin.
Ruffin, a career back-up, tried to run out the clock by throwing the ball straight up in the air. Instead, it didn't go as far as he thought and Mo Pete caught the ball and launched it towards the rim.
And somehow, it went in. The game was sent into overtime.
The shot gave the Raptors momentum and they went on to the game 123-118.
So, with that being said, here ya go:

Gimme That!: Javale McGee's Amazing Block Against Portland (Video)

All blocks don't have to be fancy. Some can just be simple, yet amazing (or at least to me) at the same time.
Javale McGee's block of Wesley Matthews was that dunk.
Going up for a dunk, Portland's Matthews was suddenly met in mid-air by the Wizards' McGee.
It was quite the block, but what made it appealing to me was the fact that McGee took the ball with him.
It wasn't the prettiest block, but perhaps my favorite dunk of this year's NBA season.

NBA Power Rankings: The 10 Best Performances from NBA Rookie Challenge Game

Last night's NBA Rookie Challenge might not have been the best game of pure basketball ever played on an NBA court, but it was one of the more entertaining All-Star Weekend exhibition games in recent memory.
John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Blake Griffin helped carry the Rookie team to a 148-140 victory over the Sophomore team that was led by strong performances from DeJuan Blair and James Harden, who combined to put up 58 points in the loss.
With defense clearly not being at the top of any of the players' minds during the game, there were several points in the action where both squads seemed to just take turns running down the court and finishing off with crowd-pleasing dunks and alley-oops.
This list ranks the Top 10 performances from last night's game between the NBA's top first and second-year players.

Notable Stats: 15 Points, 5-10 FG
The Sophomore team needed a lot more offense from Matthews than the 15 points he managed to muster, however, he didn't try to do too much either and kept his number of shots fairly low.

Notable Stats: 14 Points, five Rebounds, 2-2 3PA
Ibaka hit more three-pointers last night, (two) than he has made during the first season-and-a-half of his young career (one).

8. Greg Monroe, Detroit Pistons
Notable Stats: 14 Points, 8 Rebounds (6 Offensively)
Monroe showed everyone why is an up-and-coming star for the Pistons as he fought hard on the glass at both ends of the floor, however, particularly well on the offensive glass.

7. Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Clippers
Notable Stats: 14 Points, 14 Minutes
While Griffin's stay in the game was fairly short-lived, he had some spectacular moments, most notably being on the receiving end of a beautiful bounce-pass alley-oop from John Wall.
