Kermit Washington is primarily known for one thing. And it doesn't have anything to do with his playing abilities. He's most known for punching Rockets player Rudy Tomjanovich while he played for the Lakers.
Washington was drafted by the Lakers with the fifth overall pick in the 1973. He would have a decent career, as he was particularly a journeyman (played for the Lakers, Celtics, Clippers, Blazers, and Warriors).
