Well, something happened today that Heat President, Pat Riley, probably doesn't want to hear. A source confirmed that Wade will meet with the Bulls for a second time within 24 hours.
Wade met with the Bulls in Chicago for about two hours on Friday. He and his agent, Henry Thomas, met with team officials and visited the United Center. The meeting, apparently, went really well and Wade has decided to meet with the Bulls' front office again.
Total, the Bulls have cleared over $30 million in cap space. They are hoping they can land one of the marquee free agents like Wade, LeBron James, or Chris Bosh. They have made several deals since the NBA season started last year. In a trade deadline deal, the Bulls pretty much wrapped John Salmons in a box with a ribbon and sent him to Milwaukee. They also sent mainstay, Kirk Hinrich, and the 17th pick, France's Kevin Seraphin, to the Wizards. It is not known what the Bulls would receive in that deal, but many predict that it is next to nothing.
No one knows if Wade will sign with the Bulls or go back to the Heat, but I think he'll return to the latter choice. But, free agency is usually a crapshoot and weird things happen all the time. I would not doubt if Wade goes to the Bulls, but in the end, I think Miami will do anything to keep him in Florida.
I guess we'll see in the following days what happens. If there's one thing free agency has taught us, it's that anything can happen.
