On Sunday, Cleveland's Jhonny Peralta hit a fly ball out to center and Tigers outfielder Ryan Raburn tried to catch it, but went straight through the wall instead. Peralta, perhaps the slowest player on the Indians, made it to home plate for a three-run inside the park home run. This rarely happens in baseball so we, here at the site, had to add it.
NOTE: It isn't the best quality, but it'll do for now.
In honor of Raburn's attempt, it reminded me of one of the coolest baseball plays I have ever seen. In 1991, Rodney McCray was sent down to minor league affiliate Vancouver Canadiens - in a game versus Portland, McCray chased down a fly ball, but ran through a plywood fence in right field. And, well, I'll let the video to the talking.
