RIP Boss 1930-2010
It's a very sad day for New York Yankees fans. "The Boss" George Steinbrenner has passed away at the age of 80 due to a massive heart attack. At the time of his death, Steinbrenner was the longest tenured owner in MLB. He was most known for building the "Evil Empire" that has become one of the most hated teams in baseball. Personally, as a New York fan, this is a very sad day. Steinbrenner had just turned 80 on July 4. His passing comes on the morning of the 2010 All-Star game. While George handed over the everyday duties to his sons Hank and Hal in 2007, the elder Steinbrenner was still the figurehead of the Yankees. George Steinbrenner will definitely be missed.
