Congratulations To...

By: Tyler Ward

Stephen and I have to give a congratulatory clap to Padres pitchre Mat Latos. There have been so many weird off-the-field injuries like Clint Barmes' collarbone injury while carrying groceries up the stairs and Glenallen Hill's nightmare that landed him through a glass table. Now, Latos joins the group.

Latos is going to be put on the 15-day disabled list after sneezing and straining his left side. The freak injury happened when he was trying to hold back a sneeze a week ago.

The Padres pitcher told reporters, "I held my sneeze walking down the steps and felt a little pull."

So far this season, Latos is 10-4 with a 2.45 ERA. He has helped the Padres maintain the NL West division lead throughout this season.

Everyone, give Mat Latos a much needed round of applause.
