As most Grizzlies fans already know by now, the team selected Xavier Henry from the University of Kansas 12th overall last night in the 2010 NBA Draft. While only playing one season at Kansas, Henry posted averages of 13.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.5 apg leading the Jayhawks to a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament. Personally, I love the selection. The Grizzlies desperately need help at the PG position and Henry will not only help find teammates, but he is also capable of scoring in bunches. At 6'6", Henry is able to get to the rim and finish with thunderous dunks, or also more than capable of stopping and sinking a jumper. Having only seen a few of Henry's games last season at Kansas, I decided to check out YouTube for some video of what exactly Xavier can provide for Memphis and found this video. Hope you enjoy and are excited as I am to see Henry on the court this season for the Grizzlies.
