Orlando Magic: League Suspends Dwight Howard One Game; Quentin Richardson Two Games

By: Stephen Patterson

In a follow-up from yesterday's post on Quentin Richardson shoving Gerald Henderson in the face during the Magic-Bobcats game, Q-Rich has been suspended two games by the league for the incident.

The league also suspended the Magic's franchise player, Dwight Howard, for one game after he picked up his 18th technical foul of the season.

Howard has been a target all season by players as know he has a history of reacting when he is fouled and doesn't receive the call he believes he deserves.

This has been a topic of discussion all season long, as his head coach, Stan Van Gundy, has said publicly on several occasions that he thinks referees treat Howard differently because of his size, often refusing to call flagrant fouls when small players foul him hard.

Both players will miss the Magic's next game at home against the Chicago Bulls, while Richardson will also miss Orlando's final road game of the regular season at the Philadelphia 76ers.
